How to put a chat room on my website?

I have had a domain fully hosted by Dreamhost for many years, and I wondered how straightforward it would be to install a chat room on it.

I had a quick look at the one-click-install applications, but couldn’t find a chat room there. Is this something that can be done?

there are a few options you can use to add a chat to your site and which option to pick depends on what your needs are, like your typical users.

Do you need a chat with multiple channels, based on IRC? Then I’d look into this javascript client for IRC; examples are http://mibbit.com/ and https://kiwiirc.com/
If you don’t want to use IRC, you’ll have to find other servers to connect to or run your own chat server of some kind.

absolutely correct , my opinion is better choice is javascript chat , because it’s very easy to install and low cost
