How to change case sensitivity

#1

If I name a folder on my domain “Stuff” I can’t access it if I type stuff, I’d like to be able to remove the case sensitivity. How can this be done. Thank you.

I think you’re out of luck.

(I’m at work now and can’t go into the detailed explanation, but I’m sure others will chime in)

You can’t, at least at the DreamHost system level… DreamHost runs Debian Linux and case sensitivity is a characteristic of the filesystem.

There are utilities available on most every platform for mass “rule based” renaming, which might make it easier for you to get some consistency in your filename case conventions.

Either set some renaming rules, or just go through and rename everything so it’s lower case. Upper case on websites is a real problem, and shouldn’t be used.
