How to access new domain?

What is the URL to access a new site before the DNS has been tranferred?

On many hosts it usually something like: www.host.com/~newsite

How do you do it at Dreamhost?

If I’m not mistaken, you can add a subdomain to .dreamhosters.com to access your site.
