How do I set the root path for the forward slash?

#1

I could probably simplify my directory or folder structure some but it is what it is. What I want to do simply though is reference the root and then drill down from there when calling upon a file from another file. Okay, that said, let’s get to it!

Within the file http://mywebsite.com/media/music/classical/index.php, I want to reference the file http://mywebsite.com/code/scripts/php/analytics.php.

Within index.php I have the following line of code:

.
What I want to use though is this:

.
Instead I am being forced to use this:

.
Or to use the relative path below, which I do not want to use either.

.
And the following, which might be acceptable, doesn’t work for whatever odd reason:

.
So, how do I “reset” Dreamhost’s absolute path so that a leading / is replaced by http://mywebsite.com/?

Thank you for your time and help!
