How active is DH in eliminating SPAMmers & PORNers

Occasionally I’ve heard from some gov. agency that their systems were blocking email from me because of bad reputation. I was able to get it cleared up, but it did have me look into what’s Reverse IP Domain Check. At that time it did find several UNhappy domains on same server as mine, including: and
Happily those guys are no longer in existence.

Now (today) all of a sudden I hear from postfix that a university mail system rejects my email “because of reputation”:

The Postfix program host[] said: 554 Service

Barracuda Reputation; (in reply to RCPT TO

Yes, I have emailed DH support, but I’d love to hear others’ experiences with how actively DH tries to clean out customers doing spam/porn/scams/etc so that my shared-host sites are not penalized by bots, email systems, etc.

Thanks for relating any experiences.

My “neighbors” on DreamHost currently include:

Can’t they put all the porn sites on the same server or something?

I had the same thought as you. I sent a general letter of concern to support. Below is the response I got. I hope that it means they are concerned and take action [ if some of their customers are getting blocked then it’ll be in their financial interest to resolve it.]

This is just a notification that your message has been moved to our mail blocks queue. This queue is information that our abuse staff uses to determine who is blocking us, why we are being blocked, and at around what time period we are being blocked. Your ticket will be used for information purposes only in helping us get the block removed. You may not receive a response, but you will be instrumental in helping us get this issue resolved faster. Thank you for your mail block report.
