Hoplessly lost

#1

I have a Blogger site. I signed up to dreamhost simply to use the hosting service to upload mp3 files, then allow visitors to my blog to either listen or download these files.

I can’t even get figure out how to upload files from my hard drive to Dream Host.

Help please.

If you have not yet discovered the DreamHost wiki, here is a good place to start.

You might want to pay particular attention to the section on “how to setup/access/view your site”, and the section on “one-click” install (which might be the easiest way to get a “site” online).

If you are only going to use DreamHost to serve up files to be llinked from your blogger site, you may not actually even need/want a “site”; you can just use FTP to “upload files from your hard drive to Dream Host”.

You should still read the other links though, so you understand how the directories on DreamHost are structured.

If after reading through those resources, you still have questions, post back here with a specific problem or question and I am sure someone will be able to help.

It has to be in the darn wiki some darn place or another (see above and below).

Edit: Question marks and plus signs in this forum are a pain.

Type percent symbol 3F at the end of the above URL, after copy/pasting, to get the real page. Sorry, it’s a wwwthreads.pl thing.
