website http://evilyoshida.com was working fine until this suddenly happened.

is this something that dreamhost can fix on their end? Thanks so much for any possible help.

That site appears to be working. Are you still seeing issues?

#3

It worked for a bit shortly after I made this thread, yet now I am getting the error again:

Warning: require_once(/home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/inc/main.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/global.php on line 19

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/inc/main.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/global.php on line 19

thank you guys for any help. Since I am just an admin I do not have access to the root folder, but last time the dreamhost technical support team could resolve the issue.

The site is working now… not sure what’s going on here. The error seems to suggest that a file (/home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/global.php) is not accessible. Why that happens only some time I have no clue. Maybe check your server’s log, see if you get something funky there.

Hello. It was working for a bit and now it crashed. Could this be some type of SQL injection attack?

is there anything you can do on your end to fix it?

thank you so much
[hr]
why would it work on and off? it seems like the site self corrects then is attacked again
[hr]
it’s the same message:

Warning: require_once(/home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/inc/main.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/global.php on line 19

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/inc/main.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/lib/php:/usr/local/php5/lib/pear’) in /home/evilyoshida/evilyoshida.com/global.php on line 19

This is so strange… Do you have DreamHost malware scan (https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/226704048-How-do-I-enable-the-Malware-Remover-service-) enabled?

Unfortunately if you don’t see anything strange in access.log and error.log, you need to open a support ticket with DreamHost and have a support engineer check your server.

#7

Good luck with that. 45 hours later and no one has looked at my ticket yet…

#8

Sorry to hear that. I suspect the weekend queue grew longer than usual and the people on weekend watch haven’t had the time to get to your ticket yet.

If you think that people on the forum can help you, please open another thread describing your issue in details, providing log excerpts and all information that may help people understand what’s going on without having to login into your system.

THREE days now. No answer to the followup, either…

i do not own the site, but I manage it. the site owner is missing and I cannot locate him. I have admin access but not root access. Can someone fix the site? i can prove I am an ADMIN.
[hr]
A computer tech asked if you guys could restore the site to an earlier version. say a week or two ago.

Do you keep backups? we have paid for this site dutifully over the last 4 years and would like to see the website up and running again.

THANK YOU SO MUCH

#11

I can ask my colleagues to check what’s going on. Can you please share your ticket number (starts with #7)?

#12

Thanks for the help smaffulli.

I am not the site owner, but merely the top level admin and manager of the site.

I did not get the ticket number

#13

I’m afraid I can’t do much in this case… Tech Support won’t be able to help much either if you’re not the actual DreamHost customer. You really have a bigger problem if the site owner is not putting you in the conditions to solve your site’s issues.

If you have tried everything to contact the person who keeps the contact with DreamHost, the last step would be to open a support ticket on http://dreamhost.com/support and pick the option ‘Other’: you won’t need to authenticate and you’ll be given the chance to explain exactly what is happening. Be ready to provide all the information necessary to prove that you administer the site and that the owner is not responding. Maybe DreamHost tech support can help, but I can’t guarantee that.

#14

thank you. I will definitely try that route. I am the admin and the site is named after me. It is a weird situation where the site owner is missing.

BTW is this possible to change on your end for me to DL the database from the admin CP?

http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/core.html#timeout
http://php.net/manual/en/info.configuration.php#ini.max-execution-time
can you increase both of those to 1200 that might help me get my database.

Thank you.
