Gigya shortcode not working

wordpress

#1

I’m trying to embed a flash object using gigya short code, which I believe should work in WP, similar to what is described here:

I’ve seen other WP sites which purport to use this method and they work. However, when ever I add gigya shortcode to the HTML editor in my DH-hosted WP site, the text itself shows up on the published page.

For example, the following code:

[gigya src=“http://embed.break.com/ODIzNTA1” width=“464” height=“376” quality=“high” wmode=“transparent” allowFullScreen=“true” ]

appears as text on the published page, not as the sorce materials.

I am able to get my WP site to work with other shortcodes (e.g., googlemaps), so it seems that the problem is isolated to gigya codes.

This is not my area of expertise, so I accept that I may be doing something incorrectly, however I think it should just be adding code to the HTML editor, which I can do.

I’ve installed the gigya “Make Your Site Social” plug-in, but it made no difference.

Does anyone have any idea what I could be doing incorrectly?

Thanks!

The gigya shortcode isn’t built in to WordPress.org and looking at the code of the plugin, I don’t actually see the shortcode code in there at all! It looks like it may have been removed from wordpress.com too (it’s not even listed here http://en.support.wordpress.com/shortcodes/ )

There are quite a few flash plugins that should be able to do this instead: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=flash

Kimili Flash Embed is pretty popular.
