Getting online

Ok. I have a fully hosted domain (walkingpointsblog.com), i am created 3 databases. I have installed the wordpress software. The only problem i am having is … I have built (re-built) my blogsite locally hosted but cannot for some reason figure out how to get it connected to dreamhost. What stupid little thing am I missing!!! Hellllpppp!![/align]

If your blog isn’t at DreamHost, but your database is, you need to allow the connection from your IP address.

I downloaded Wordpress.org and built the site as ‘localhost.’ I purchased a domain and dreamhost as host. So basically, I have not connected the two together. Suggestions?

DO you if it is possible to export .xml to the wordpress site on Dreamhost?

I guess i need to say this differently: I have built the site on my computer (database and all). I also have a dreamhost fully hosted domain and have set up several dbs. I want to move it all to Dreamhost but am having trouble figuring it out.

You can FTP your content over. And for the databases:
http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Migrate_MySQL

And make sure to update your config files to not use localhost for anything. The databases here are on different servers from your websites.
