Getting in to my web mail

#1

I just registered a domain name, and set it form DH hosting. I selected gmail as my mail host, and clicked o.k. I got this message:

IMPORTANT: You need to register at Google Apps for your Domain as well as configure your mailboxes there if you haven’t already.

Your email will be broken until you have!

So I clicked the link to register at Google apps, but IT said:

This domain has already been registered with Google Apps. Please contact your domain administrator for instructions on using Google Apps with this domain.

Now what?!

How To Install PHP.INI / ionCube on DreamHost

There is no link below it.

Doesn’t matter, though. I got my answer from dreamhost. For anyone else who has this issue:

Hello,

Google is aware that there are instances of domains being marked as setup
in their system when you haven’t done it yet.
They are working on a solution for the problem.

Unfortunately, Google doesn’t share the information saved on their
servers. You will need to contact them directly.

Google makes it a bit hard to find, but the email for their technical
support is apps-support@google.com.

In my experience, it can take about 48 hours for them to get back to you.
In the last couple of months they have set up a process where you can
give them an alternate email address for the system administrator, and
they can automatically send the password to that email address. Once you
have access to the account again, you can set that up here:

on

Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help!

Thanks!

This is one of the primary reasons I STAY with Dreamhost: when I ask for help? Someone READS my request, THINKS and writes an answer. They don’t email me a generic form letter. I love this company.
