GD Installed?

I was wondering, does DreamHost servers come with GD Installed for use of thumbnails and such?

Yes. Here is the GD section of phpinfo() output from a standard DH PHP 5.2.3 installation:

GIF Create Support enabled

How did you get those informations on GD? I have problem with catcha images.

That information was gleaned from the output of the phpinfo() function which, when called from a program running on your domain, provides all kinds of valuable information about the PHP environment in which the program is run.

This is easy to do on any PHP installation, as described in this DreamHost wiki article:

You do you mean “manage?” You can’t modify it since it’s part of the shared PHP, but you can build your own PHP and compile in your own GD. If you’re happy with the one that’s installed, you’re more than welcome to use it.
