Gallery Gone Bad

I have been using Gallery to display photos on my site for years now and all of a sudden it stopped working. This might have happened when I was setting up sycronization features in Dreamweaver, but I can figure out what went wrong.

Here is the error that i get and also, you can see a little post i have on the gallery site if that gives more insight:

This is what it says when I try to run the configuration wizard on a newly installed version 1.5:

Warning: mkdir(/Library/WebServer/Documents/albums/.users): No such file or directory in /home/.quencher/sepi/ on line 43
Error: Unable to create dir: /Library/WebServer/Documents/albums/.users
Upgrading Users
The user database in your gallery was created with an older version of the software and is out of date. This is not a problem! We will upgrade it. This may take some time. Your data will not be harmed in any way by this process. Rest assured, that if this process takes a long time now, it’s going to make your gallery run more efficiently in the future.

If you get an error, and only some users are upgraded, try refreshing the page to upgrade remaining users.

Please Wait…
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/.quencher/sepi/ on line 337

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Wasn’t sure if this happened because of changes on the server or if it just my fault.

Ahhh the old .user upgrade issue. I use to get this from time to time, usually as a result of permissions or .htaccess issues in the /album director…

Over in the utilities on the Gallery site, grab the cleanup script ->

That usually cleans up the permissions issues…
