I need to set up some space on a where 4 people can FTP files to. Each person can have their own name/log on, and not be able to see the other files – only their owns.
Then a 5th person can see all files and delete any of them.
i.e… 4 students uploading photos to 1 instructor.
Any way to do this???
You’ll need four spaces. Directories are like rooms. Each user gets a key to a room, and you also get 4 keys. Once you’re in a room, you can see everything in it, so you don’t want a user in another user’s room.
In this case, the key is called UNIX Groups:
