I have a folder on my ftp that I want to delete. When I delete it it says there is no such file or directory. When I try to move them I get a critical error.
Is there another way to remove these files from the server??
Log into your shell account. Then:
'cd' to the parent directory, then 'rm -rf' the foldername.
Thanks for this tip
Is there a site that has a heap of commands that you could recommend?
Yeah, try the wiki some more:http://wiki.dreamhost.com/index.php/Shell_Commands
Hi, I am now wondering why when someone uploads to the ftp server the files they upload are there but when you try to download or delete they come up with the ftp software saying critical error. Anyone know of why this may happen??
