dreamhost is being completely worthless right now.
I can’t log in to ftp on anything but their ftp program.
I hate their FTP!
I tried logging in with the host dreamhost.com and mrpibb.dreamhost.com and I know I got my username and password right. I don’t know why it’s not working!
I used dreamhost before and they were great. That is why I don’t know why I can’t log in!
Does anyone know how I can log in to a different program?
P.S. I am using BestFTP.
If webftp is working, there’s no reason a FTP program on your computer shouldn’t work. Generally you log into FTP with your domain name and the user/pass for the user who owns the domain.
I’m not familiar with bestFTP, personally I use fileZilla.

DH has some problems. You may want to refer http://www.dreamhoststatus.com/2007/02/22/dreamhostcom-dns-zone-troubles. Maybe this is the reason why you can’t log in.
You can use your own FTP program. But I guess you need to wait for the problem to be solved.
