I’ve never done anything like this before, and it’s starting to frustrate me. I bought a domain through Go Daddy, and I am using Dreamhost obviously to host it. Someone told me to use Indexhibit for web design, so I went through countless tutorials and finally understood. I thought I had some clue on how to start doing anything to my website, so I put the link that Indexhibit provides to bring you to the editing page (http://www.yourwebsite.com/ndxz-studio/install.php _ I replaced yourdomain.com with mine) , and it sent me to the Go Daddy advertisment page. I went to see if Indexhibit had any solutions, and they said it might be where I’m placing the files in my FTP program (Filezilla), and it won’t bring me to the editing page. Am I doing something wrong?
Are nameservers for your domain pointing to dreamhost? I bet that the issue, but you didn’t give the domain name so I can’t look for you.
I changed the domain nameservers to dreamhost, but now it only shows up as “Another wordpress site”. My domain is theartofcass.net . After that I was stuck. I was on customer service and the lady told me to delete everything in the FTP program saying it would delete the installation of wordpress along with it, and I did, but it didn’t work
I bet that what happened is that you put the indexhibit stuff on GoDaddy’s servers by mistake, and not on DreamHost’s. Now that you have your domain correctly pointing at DreamHost servers, you should remove WordPress from there and put the indexhibit stuff you previously created…
I have never heard of indexhibit before but if all you need is one good looking web page, you may want to check DreamHost’s Remixer https://www.dreamhost.com/website-builder/
