Forward Incoming mail to php script

Hi,

I can’t understand how you forward mail (im using google apps) to a php script so I can save them to a txt file to use later. I have been looking at all articles on how to do this but I get totally lost. Can some one give me step by step instructions on how to do this?

Brandon

There are two ways you can go about this.

Use an email client to access messages from a mailbox using POP3 or IMAP protocols.

Try to setup a procmail recipe for a mailbox that pipes the messages to a non-CGI PHP script.

Thanks for the help. Could you explain how to do this farther? I have not done much with phps pop3 and imap.

Here is a starting point.

mail client:

pipe to script:
