Hi - I’m a beginning beginner so need some simple step-by-step instruction for having a forum on my site.
I downloaded the software from wwwthreads, but now I don’t know what to do with it.

If you are just beginning, unless there is a specific reason you want to use wwwthreads, I strongly suggest you use the DreamHost “one-click” installer to install PhpBB.
This is by far the easiest way to set up a forum if you have little experience with such things (and the PhpBB software has very good functionality). DOing it this way you can have you forum up in a few minutes.
