Fopen error for local files

software development

Hi, I’m aware of the fopen situation of not allowing direct access to remote files. However, I’ve been trying to install Bellabook, a simple guestbook script but I keep getting fopen errors. There is no use of databasing, all entries are kept in txt files. I checked the files and they only refer to local paths. What could be the problem?

Could it be that it is a PHP4 program and is now running under PHP5? Try dropping back to 4 and see if it works then. (From the Manage domains > [edit] option)

Opinions are my own views, not DreamHosts’.
I am NOT a DreamHost employee OK!! :@

You act on my advice at your own risk!

also check the fopen portions and see if it is trying to use the full url for your site.
