File Uploading

software development

#1

Similar to the post below, but since the solution was never posted…

I’m trying to learn a bit of PHP. I’m a total newbie to programing, so I pretty much copied/pasted the code from a tutorial I was using when my own code was riddled with problems.

I copied/pasted everything that was in the tutorial down to the letter, but when I try to upload a file, I still get a blank page and nothing else.

The page in question is: http://ninephoenixes.com/upload.html

The php code in question is:

Process Uploaded File <?php

if ( move_uploaded_file ($_FILES[‘uploadFile’] [‘tmp_name’],
"…/uploads/{$_FILES[‘uploadFile’] [‘name’]}") )
{ print ’

The file has been successfully uploaded

‘;
}
else
{
switch ($_FILES[‘uploadFile’] [‘error’])
{ case 1:
print ’

The file is bigger than this PHP installation allows

’;
break;
case 2:
print ’

The file is bigger than this form allows

’;
break;
case 3:
print ’

Only part of the file was uploaded

’;
break;
case 4:
print ’

No file was uploaded

’;
break;
}
}

?>

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks ^^
