Fatal Memory exhausted error on Drupal

software development

Hi there,
I recently installed a drupal profile install called OpenPublicwww.openpublicapp.com.

Every time I run the installer, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 94371840 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2874657 bytes) in /home/randrand/greenhive.coop/apps/mind/profiles/openpublic/modules/contrib/features/features.export.inc on line 442

I have erased and restarted many times. always the same thing.

I sent a message asking dreamhost about it. They said I need to make a custom php.ini file changing the memory settings.

I really have no clue what’s going on with this.

heres the link

I’m sure support also gave you the link to the instructions for creating your own php.ini, but in case they didn’t here it is: http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Php.ini

They did. The beginning of this article says
Support for these instructions is not available from DreamHost tech support.
Server changes may cause this to break. Be prepared to troubleshoot this yourself if this happens.
We seriously aren’t kidding about this.
So that freaks me out. I read the article twice and I still don’t have a clue. It doesn’t really say anything about adjusting memory. Yeah this is stepping into the deepend.

Thanks though.
