Error establishing a database connection

#1

I’m in the process of transferring my website’s hosting from godaddy to dreamhost. I have uploaded my mysql file and my website files are up in ftp and i’ve changed the dns settings but I still get an error message. I’m wondering if it has to do with my wp-config file but I"m not savvy enough to figure out how to fix it.

please help me!

http://mattlowenmusic.com is the site

thanks

If you have’t changed your wp-config to reflect the new server, that’s where I would start. This link should explain all you need to know. You will probably need to change your host, database user name, and password. https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Set_Database_Name

I have updated my wp-config file and had a support agent check my wp-config file and it seems to be programmed in properly, yet I still receive the same error message when I try to visit my webpage, any ideas of what else it could be?

I get errors but they are different, and a different problem.

Try forcing a server reload with ctrl-f5.

It’s looking for /home/lattmowen/mattlowenmusic/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/options.php
Is that file there?
