ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server

Has anyone ever found out a solution to this message that gets displayed via webmail when attempting to login? I’ve found a couple of posts on this same error but no solution. I have tried accessing mail from Pine, but receive a similiar IMAP error when attempting authentication. This has been going on since Friday, June 2nd.

I have been able to FTP into hyperion and transfer files from the new folder to be read by Pine on another box, but this is time consuming and annoying. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Here is the response from Dreamhost:

I’m sorry for the problems. For some reason it looks like our automatic updates weren’t being run on your user. I’ve set its status to ‘changed’ and scheduled a manual update for it. That should solve the problem within a couple of hours. If you continue to experience difficulties though, please don’t hesitate to let us know. I apologize again for the inconvenience.

Huh, still no response here. Hopefully they can fix us all soon. Let us know if it works.
