Hello, I am using eventum at Dreamhost and when it tries to send email (being called by a cron script) it gives the following error:

[Tue Feb 06 06:41:02 2007] An error was found on line ‘234’ of script ‘/home/pathtoeventum/eventum/include/class.mail_queue.php’.

The error message passed to us was:

‘Failed to add recipient: myemail@gmail.com [SMTP: Invalid response code received from server (code: 554, response: myemail@gmail.com: Relay access denied)]’

A more detailed error message follows:

Does anyone know why is this error ocurring? Should I try to open a support request on webpanel?

Thanks,
Weslei

You might look in the wiki and see if any of the items about “relay access denied” apply to your situation.

http://wiki.dreamhost.com

Maybe something will give you a hint as to how to configure things. (note: there is a comment about the A record being used rather than the MX record, maybe this is where things are failing).

Just a total stab in the dark but someday I’ll hit something.

I solved it putting localhost instead my server name… lol
