E-mail help?

#1

I just bought my first domain (fishontheglass.com). I tried to set up e-mails for liss@fishontheglass.com. I set it up through Outlook Express, and it seemed to work fine. I sent a couple e-mails to myself to test… but now sending and recieving gives me this error:

The connection to the server has failed. Account: ‘mail.fishontheglass.com’, Server: ‘mail.fishontheglass.com’, Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

How can I fix this? I would really like to use my vanity email!

Thanks for any help you can give me!

“I feel bloated.”
“Yeah, you look pretty fat, too.”

Check your account settings. Sounds like you lost your password settings. Follow the instructions in the knowledge base about setting up mail for Outlook and Outlook Express.

Don’t forget the authentification settings too.

Looks like you’re on a Qwest dialup - I forget if they block port 25 access outgoing, but you may want to see if using your ISP’s SMTP server or switching your mail client to use port 587 for SMTP will work.
