E-mail bounces back, new acct

#1

Can someone help me with my serious problem. I just moved hosts to dreamhost. i’ve changed the dns servers at my registrar and ftp, shell, website access, and sent out e-mail is fine. But when someone e-mails me, it bounces back with this message

I’m afraid I wasn’t able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I’ve given up. Sorry it didn’t work out.

jason@jswebb.net:
69.6.255.191 does not like recipient.
Remote host said: 553 sorry, that domain isn’t allowed to be relayed
thru this MTA (#5.7.1)
Giving up on 69.6.255.191.

I can’t even set up my email client because it keeps saying invalid/username and password and i know they are correct…

I’ve had this a couple of times when moving domains into DreamHost. The problem went away after a day or so. I don’t know how long ago you made the move but give it 48 hours and if it’s no better contact support.

That IP address says it’s at opentransfer.com, whatever that is. It’s not DreamHost. As the other poster said, give DNS some time at the sender’s end to update. In my case, my mom’s DNS server took more like 3-5 days.
