DreamHost VPS has just exceeded the memory allocation that you've establish

I’ve been getting this email message for over a year. Once I increased my memory allocation but I was paying $52 a month! I dropped it down to $30 a month and continue to get this message. It makes no sense to me. I have a very simple WP website with a few pages of products and a checkout page. I probably get no more than 25 visitors a day tops! How do I find out the root of my memory problem?

The e-commerce plugin you’re using may be to blame if it’s not configured right.

In general, you start by using something like the P3 Profiler - https://wordpress.org/plugins/p3-profiler/ - or Query Monitor - http://wordpress.org/plugins/query-monitor/ - to see what’s causing the most load.

I used the P3 and the Runtime by Plugin said that Wp E commerce plugin was taking 76%. I had this site set up by a friend in 2010 and I’ve done very little to it, since I am not an experienced web person.

Any recommendations on how to fix this? How do I make sure that the e-commerce plugin is installed correctly? It was giving me trouble a few months ago, my customers could not checkout, and I just kept reinstalling it every time I realized my site was down. :frowning:
