Dreamhost & vbulletin?

#1

When ever I set up vbulletin config file to work with dreamhost, I keep getting sql errors:
mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2)
/home/ffskyrider/xxx/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 311
I tried every hosting server as connection… Even my phpmyadmin host, localhost, my main website, everything. I keep getting sql errors. I’m making a thread as I’m still awaiting a reply from dreamhost.

The SQL server isn’t on your web server. Find its hostname in the Panel under Goodies -> Manage MySQL

Actually, it did exist. Stupid enough I forgot 1 letter within the database name, my bad, but thanks! I’m curious now how much MCn usage the forums can use. Waiting 7 hours for a reply >_>, shouldn’t this be faster? (And I do mean ticket reply, not forums)
