Domain Support: Redirecting URL


I have two domains registered, one a .com and the other a .net. I would like to have the .com redirected to the .net (which is the main server/domain) and I have the redirection setup properly through the DreamHost domain management settings.

Everytime i attempt to visit my .com address, it’s just a blank white page with the error message: "Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this. error id: “bad_httpd_conf” "

What does this mean? How can I fix this?

If this is really a redirect using dreamhost’s redirection via the panel you should open a support ticket, also via the panel, to get it fixed. A faster method however might be to delete your redirection via the panel, wait an hour to make sure there is time for than change to be pushed from the panel to the server (that’s normally only takes 10-15 minutes, but give it plenty of time), THEN go back and re-add your re-direction via the panel.

Users here might be able to give you better answers if you give us both domain names. Most of us answering in this forum are customers just like you with no ability to look anything up on your account, but if you give us both domain names and we can watch what happens, sometime we can spot the problem better.
