Do I need to use a public_html subdirectory

#1

…for my new web domain? I’m starting setup of the web site now. Is it a best practice to create a “public_html” subdirectory from my domain web root (which appears to be www.louunext.org right now, by default) ?

If you create a public_html directory in louunext.org, this will have to be part of the url, like http://louunext.org/public_html/index.php - you wouldn’t like that.

The recommandation for public_html comes from a standard setup of webservers, but DH does it differently, so that you can easily host many domains on the same account.

So: just put your index.html in the louunext.org directory.
