Then again, there may be “sporadic” problems…
Record is:

Looking up at ns3.dreamhost.com… Reports 1 A record(s). 92ms.

Average of all 3 nameservers: 92ms (plus 1486ms overhead).

Score: A

Took off 4 points for >80ms average response time.

I’d have to agree with that. I am seeing very varied results on my DreamHost hosted domains, results mostly look like below, but occasionally one (or more) of the DNS servers goes MIA.

Looking up at ns1.dreamhost.com… Reports 1 A record(s). 86ms.
Looking up at ns2.dreamhost.com… Reports 1 A record(s). 93ms.
Looking up at ns3.dreamhost.com… Reports 1 A record(s). 86ms.

Average of all 3 nameservers: 88ms (plus 115ms overhead).

Score: A

Took off 4 points for >80ms average response time.

actually i’ve made a few tests, and what worries me the most, is that their nameservers, only return one IP
all others are down.
also, while searching for spam IPs, i’ve found a couple of them from DH.
They should take a look at that

That could certainly be why we’ve had some reports on the forums of postings being marked as spam on recipient’s systems.

It’s got to be a pretty tough to police and clean.

Wholly
