Disk space

#1

I am well within my disk quota, but today while I was trying to move from files from one directory to another, I was getting this message:

mv: cannot move IMG_0259.JPG' to…/temppics/IMG_0259.JPG’: No space left on device

Is this due to the server moves going on? In the mean time, I’d like to be able to move files around.

Hey, Jason!

This is almost certainly a temporary problem with the server. I recommend contacting DH support about it. I know this sort of thing crops up from time to time.

In the future in debugging issues like this, use the “df” command - most relevant is probably “df .” to give you the state of the (drive) device that your current directory is located on.

Just to clarify what Lensman is talking about, df is a shell command (see wiki explanation) that will require shell access.
