Dhapache owns the file... not me

Let’s say I had example.com, a wordpress installation. Inside example.com i had “dav” which was a webdav directory.

I then upgraded to the latest wordpress using one-click.

Now, in example.com.old/dav the files are all owned by dhapache.

How can I get rid of these?

Yep, just another of the joys of webdav and one-click upgrades  .

There are only two ways I know of in the DH environment:

  1. Write a php script to delete the dirs, and run it as dhapache - using the “unsupported” mod_php 4 available as documented here on php.dreamhosters.com.

  2. Contact support and ask them to remove them for you.
