I just installed Joomla and the instructions say to use ftp to delete the installation file. I clicked on ftp from the manage domain tab and I can see the installation file but I don’t know how to delete it.
Actually, the instructions should have said to delete the installation directory.
If you clicked on the “FTP” link from the Manage Domains screen, you will access the filesystem with the ftp mode of your browser. If you do it this way, you can view and “download” stuff but you will not to able to “write” to the system (deleting is a “write” operation). Click on the “WebFTP” link, instead, log in, and then use it to manipulate your files (or use a full ftp client).
