Data center details?

#1

Am considering DreamHost, but am looking for some technical information about the network connection and other details similar to those found at: http://www.burlee.com/webhosting/advantage_reliable.asp and http://www.burlee.com/webhosting/advantage_facility.asp

Thank you.

When someone posts a webpage that has “reliable” in the URL, and the filename extension is .ASP, it sorta raises some questions, doesn’t it?

I don’t remember seeing a page like that anywhere on Dreamhost’s main site, but although I have nothing against Burlee, based on personal experience I wouldn’t call any host that uses Windows NT “reliable” (or secure), reagardless of how serious their data center is. (DreamHost uses Linux/Apache.)

What I can say for DreamHost is that their own web panel currently shows my http service as being up for 1 mon 11 days, and total (I believe the stat is for the past year or so) uptime of 99.9327%. That may or may not be enough for you, but there have only been two outages of any noticable length in the three years I’ve been hosting with them, and neither was recently.

Try going to this section of the knowledge base. It deals with DH’s infrastructure.
