I am trying to change the nameservers from ns1.dreamhost.com etc, to ns1.mydomain.com. According to posts in this forum, I should be able to do that by creating A records which point to the IP addresses of the Dreamhost nameservers. I did that yesterday, and when I try to change the nameservers at Go Daddy to ns1.mydomain.com etc, it gives me an error message that says “Nameserver not registered”. Does this sound like a problem with Go Daddy, or is there something else I need to do at Dreamhost?
Ok, I figured out the problem. I had to register the nameservers at Go Daddy by modifying the details under the Host Summary.
