$ crontab -e
crontabs/ettinger: Permission denied
That probably needs a message sent to DreamHost Support. The temporary crontab is first opened up to a temp file in /tmp so it may be that /tmp has the wrong permissions set.

That happened on the server I’m on a month or two ago–a message to support had it fixed within an hour or so.
