Cron Job Problem

software development

#1

I am trying to run a cron job for a php script.

I have used cron job with other hosts OK but
with this hosting it uses Sshell access which I
have no idea how to construct the command.

The normal command I would use is:

php -q /home/myusername/mysitedomainfolder/admin/cron-job.php > /dev/null

Could anyone advise what would be the correct shell command to use.

Many Thanks

Hi

I managed to google the problem and get this:

/usr/bin/wget http://www.mydomainname.com/admin/cron-job.php > /dev/null

Everything is working OK with this.

Is this an acceptable way to run a cron job on this server.

Thanks for your help.

Terry
