Hey all

im tryin to install cpgnuke, and im running into big wall

here is what my config.php is set to
######################################################################

Database & System Config

dbhost: SQL Database Hostname

dbuname: SQL Username

dbpass: SQL Password

dbname: SQL Database Name

$prefix: Your Database table’s prefix

$user_prefix: Your Users’ Database table’s prefix (To share it)

$dbtype: Your Database Server type. Supported servers are:

MySQL, mysql4, postgres, mssql, oracle, msaccess,

db2 and mssql-odbc

Be sure to write it exactly as above, case SeNsItIvE!

$sitekey: Security Key. CHANGE it to whatever you want, as long

as you want. Just don’t use quotes.

######################################################################
if (!defined(‘CPG_NUKE’)) { header(‘Location: /error.php’); exit; }

$dbhost = ‘mysql.ubcpersianclub.com’; <<<<tried loacalhost,
$dbuname = ‘webexec’; <<<<<
$dbpass = ‘xxxxx’;
$dbname = ‘dbn’; <<<<<
$prefix = ‘cms’;
$user_prefix = ‘cms’;
$dbtype = ‘MySQL’; <<<<ive also tried mysql4
$sitekey = ‘SdFk*fa28367-dm56w69.3a2fDS+e9changekey’;
$mainindex = ‘index.php’;
$adminindex = ‘admin.php’;
any help would be great … im assuming the areas with “<<<<<” are the areas that make or brake the installation

cheers folks

  1. Verify database is working by logging into phpMyAdmin by browsing to $dbhost, example
    $dbhost = ‘mysql.example.com’,
    browse to http://mysql.example.com/

  2. Enter your username and password, $dbuname and $dbpass

  3. Should now be on a page with two frames. At the top of the frame on the left it will show your database name ($dbname), for example:

phpMyAdmin logo Home database_name table_1 table_2If using phpMyAdmin works, and using the same values in the script still does not make the script work, perhaps another type of error is occuring. One might need to add calls to mysql_error() to see what the error is if for some reason the script is not doing some type of error handling. See http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mysql-error.php

“localhost” for the $dbhost would not work, DH has the databases hosted on a different machine than the one executing the script.

:cool: Perl / MySQL / HTML+CSS

Some thoughts,
$prefix = ‘cms’;
$user_prefix = ‘cms’;
$dbtype = ‘MySQL’; <<<<ive also tried mysql4
$sitekey = ‘SdFk*fa28367-dm56w69.3a2fDS+e9changekey’;
Did you change any of these? Is cms the default prefix? If you changed this, change back to the default.

Did you CHANGE the site key? You should. It can be anything.

Did you wait for your sql database to become active before you tried the installation? At least a few hours.

What was your error?

Try going to nukeresources.com and download a file called analyze.php, put it in the root of your nuke installation and run it from your browser. See what it tells you. REMOVE this file after you use it.

Hope this helps
