Connection is getting dropped

#1

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if dreamhost has a process searching for long connections? I want to migrate from my actual host(site5) because the server process is killing my connection after a while. I want to send files using http(flash upload system) and my connection is slow, so I spend about 45 minutes to send 50Mb…

Thank you
Adriano

Hi Lensman,

A Php script process the file and save some information in a database.

Tks

But what actually accepts the files? And why do you think the flash app requires that an http connection remain open for all the files it is uploading?

Normally Apache has timeouts for connections. I haven’t seen this issue with uploading large files at DH. You can also modify your PHP settings within DH. If it is available anywhere, it would be available here.

I can’t say enough good things about Dreamhost so far.

Save $97 on all plans by using promo code: SRVR97. More Here
