Confluence

#1

Can I install Atlassian Confluence on my Dreamhost account? They have a low-cost license I would like to use. I know how to install applications that are set up for one-click install, but not how to install third-party web apps.

Unlikely. I’m not familiar with Confluence in particular, but most of Atlassian’s software runs as pretty large, heavy-weight Java servers, and would require a DreamHost VPS or dedicated server to run it.

Just an FYI, in case you are able to install – Tomcat is unfortunately currently outside the scope of our support.

Since a fair bit of time has passed since this thread was last active, I just wanted to check in:

Has anything changed in the Dreamhost VPS environment that would now allow me to install and run Atlassian Confluence?
