Changing mp3 files on website

design

#1

My wife has a website for her VO work. It is laurieallenvo.com. She currently has two voiceover demos on that website but wants to replace them with a single demo that does the job of the two. Her website designer is no longer available to help and I have limited knowledge of the technical aspects of doing this kind of work. Can anyone help? Thank you.

Oddly, I feel like we have discussed this here before but I can’t locate the previous thread. I do know I’ve seen your wife webpage before, so i feel like there is another thread here somewhere.

The basic things you need to do are upload the new mp3 demo and delete the other two. Then for the site to work correctly you will need to update this section of the code

<ul class="demos">

						<li>
							<a href="Commercial_Promo.mp3" id="track-01">commercial</a>

						</li>

						<li>
							<a href="NewNarration.mp3" id="track-02">narration</a>
						</li>

				</ul><!-- end demos -->

most likely the simpliest way is to just delete one whole list-item set… meaning delete all of this

                                                 <li>
							<a href="NewNarration.mp3" id="track-02">narration</a>
						</li>

and then update the info in the first

  • set to just point to he newfile, and perhaps change “commercial” to a new word or words like “click to hear demo”

    Lastly there is a zipped version of both demos for download, so you should be sure to replace that zip with a new one as well.
