This is pretty urgent. Dreamhost, apparently, only transfers .com, .net, .org, and .info domains. How do I get my .us domain in? I’m willing to pay if need be. I see no reason why they shouldn’t be able to do it. I want to leave my old registrar for good.
I don’t think this is possible. As you stated, Dreamhost only acts as a registrar for .com, .net, .org and .info (and .la?).
You can of-course still host the domain here at DreamHost, by changing the DNS records for the domain to ns1.dreamhost.com etc.
Perhaps you can transfer the .us domain to another registrar and host it here at DreamHost.
