Can't get Templatemonster theme working - no images

wordpress

#1

Hello,
I’m having issues getting the theme I bought from Templatemonster to show images.

Here is what I’ve done so far.

  1. Manually installed Wordpress (I did not use 1 click)
  2. Theme installation

Upload via ftp:
3.Unzip the theme1909.zip file to any folder on your hard drive.
4.Upload the theme1909 folder to the server (to the /wp-content/themes/ directory).

Theme activation

  1. Once you have uploaded the theme, activate your theme in Appearance > Themes.

To make your WordPress look like our live demo please, follow the instructions bellow.

6.Then, copy and unzip files from the folder “plugins” to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder or use the admin panel Dashboard > Plugins > Add new > Upload and select your plugin.
7.Copy “uploads” folder to /wp-content folder.

8.Open the theme1909.sql file that is located in the sources folder with any text editor (preferably Dreamweaver or Notepad) and replace all instances of “your_website_url_here” with your website URL in the entire document using the Find and Replace tool (usually the Ctrl+H hot key). E.g.: http://www.mywebsite.com

9.Next, you can import the dump file with the phpMyAdmin tool or some other database management tool.

After doing all this I still don’t see the images.
I want the site to look like the demo site before I start changing it.
I spent about an 1 hour in a chat session with TM support before they finally open a support ticket.

my url is: http://www.emmanuelchurchofkc.org/

Anyone have any idea what may be wrong?

Thanks
Steve

My guess would be something with step 8 or 9 went wrong, but without being able to poke around in your site it’s hard to pinpoint.

You sure? name doesn’t appear to exist.

do you have wordpress installed in the domain root? or do you have an extra folder that’s been hidden so that your content appears at the domain root? My guess would be there is an extra folder that needs to be included, probably as part of that path in step 8.

If you’re in KC tho, you will have lots of time to work on it as we get buried in snow tomorrow night =]

Wordpress is installed in Root.

I’m in KC but I’m leaving around Noon - headed to Wisconsin for training.

Anyone?

Could you please direct us to what the site should look like? I mean the sample page from the theme develo0per’s site if you could?

Looking at the source code, I see this is a small issue:

<div id="slider" class="nivoSlider" style="position: relative; background-image: url(http://www.emmanuelchurchofkc.org/undefined); background-position: initial initial; background-repeat: no-repeat no-repeat;">

http://www.emmanuelchurchofkc.org/undefined is not an image  It’s something to do with how you configured the posts for the slider.

Found the issue… User error

I was logging into the wrong database and importing the sql there.
