Can't get email replies

Just made an email account at about 4pm today. I can send emails with no issues. However, it says “remote server is misconfigured” and I can’t receive emails from other accounts. Is this because my domain is registered on another site?

Check that the MX records reported for your domain are pointing to the DreamHost mailservers. You can validate your records via your browser using an online test e.g.
The MX records should indicate DreamHost servers in the Hostname field.

If they’re set to somewhere else then you’ll need to edit them via the panel that manages your domain.
