Can't access /stats for domain

wordpress

I’m trying to access /stats for one of my domains and I’m not able to authenticate using my regular credentials. Anyone know what to do in this case? All my other domains work fine. Is there some place on the control panel where you have to turn this feature on?

Do you have WordPress installed there with permalinks?

sometimes you need to edit htaccess to allow access to the stats folder, I think wordpress basically picks up ant url in the domain and tries to open a page, in this case it would be looking for a page called stats which would result in a page not found error. I assume that some other programs may do the same.

If this is the case take a look at http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Making_stats_accessible_with_htaccess

Wordpress isn’t a factor, unfortunately. When I go to http://domain/stats I’m prompted for the username/password, but I can’t get it to authenticate. The same credentials authenticate to several other domains w/o any problems.

Have you checked the configuration for your site statistics under “Status>Site Statistics”? There’s a config page for each site under “# Users W/Access”. I was wondering if the stat user config for one of your domains got misconfigured somehow…
