Cannot receive emails via php contact form

#1

I’m trying to set up a contact form on my site. I have tried several scripts but none seem to allow me to receive email. The emails are set to go my gmail account.

Do I need to use an email specific to my domain? Is there a script people use that works no matter what the email to address is? And I need one with security, validation and a captcha.

I am currently using a very simple html_form_send.php script and even though it looks like the form was submitted I never receive the email. I have checked my gmail spam and there is nothing there.

Any suggestions?

quickly looking at the code, it looks like your email is FROM the email address submitted on the form by the user. This won’t work. The email must be FROM a valid address@yourdomain.com. You can however continue to set Reply-To with the email address of the form submitter to make replying easier.
