Cannot communicate securely because they have no common encryption algorithms

I have trying to use the WYSIWYG editor, NVU, which I’ve used with dreamhost in the past with no problems. It’s been a few years, I did everything the same and now I’m getting this message:

“Nvu and (dreamhost domain) cannot communicate securely because they have no common encryption algorithms.”

Help, please. What do I need to do? I am set up with FillZilla with no problems, and can see the files I upload in every web browser, but not this html client. Thanks for any advice you can offer,.

What protocol (WebDAV, SFTP, etc) is NVU using? Since NVU hasn’t been updated since 2005, it may not be able to connect with more recent SSL/TLS encryption.

According to the NVU Wikipedia page, the successor to NVU is BlueGriffon. You might give that a try: http://bluegriffon.org
