After registering the “correct” name (hope it is still available!) you can set up a redirect that sends all traffic that arrives at misspelled.com to yourdomain.com. At least that way you can get something for the money you paid for misspelled.com.
The sad part is that, all too often, the correct spelling is already taken, then you are “stuck” with a “useless” domain (maybe you could sell it to the owner of correctlyspelleddomain.com, so he could “typosquat” himself )
