The support wiki at http://wiki.dreamhost.com/Bad_httpd_conf hasn’t been able to help me here so i’m hoping anyone on the forum has come across this before.
I have a domain name hosted on another provider and set up a cname entry to point one of it’s subdomains to a domain hosted on dreamhost.
When i ping the subdomain, it correctly recognises the cname entry and resolves to the correct ip address, but when i try and navigate to it in a browser, the following error appears:
Site Temporarily Unavailable
We apologize for the inconvenience. Please contact the webmaster/ tech support immediately to have them rectify this.
error id: “bad_httpd_conf”
I can’t figure it out! any ideas?
